About the Role:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing the maintenance budget and resources, leading a team of maintenance technicians, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems and equipment. This position requires a focus on both mechanical and electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controller.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversees, manages, and directs all maintenance procedures and operations.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues in metal fabrication equipment and develops effective solutions.
  • Programs, troubleshoots, and optimizes Programmable Logic Controllers to enhance the automation and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
  • Strives to consistently meet or exceed customer service standards by ensuring prompt and accurate completion of service requests.
  • Manages the maintenance budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and safety standards.
  • Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
  • Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
  • Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce repair costs.
  • Coordinates with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and equipment for repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Maintains and updates maintenance logs, records, and reports, documenting all maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Leads a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Coordinates work performed outside by contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
  • Owns and promotes good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
  • Follows all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
  • Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and Programmable Logic Controller programming.
  • Experience with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, welding equipment, and metal cutting tools.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.) applications and computer technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial attributes; ability to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
