About the Role

The Divisional Inventory and Warehousing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management and warehousing operations within the Tate Americas Division. The role ensures the accuracy of inventory, efficient warehouse operations, and timely distribution of products to meet business and customer demands. This position will manage a team of warehouse and inventory professionals, implementing strategies to optimize storage, improve accuracy, and reduce costs.

What You’ll Do

  • Inventory Management:
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate records of all stock levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
    • Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, ensuring optimal stock levels for smooth production and order fulfillment.
    • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast demand and align inventory with production schedules.
    • Working with financial controllers. own the warehouse quarterly inventory coordination plan for each Tate US site and driving improvements on accuracy percentage.

  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Oversee all warehousing operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
    • Ensure warehouse space is utilized efficiently, with proper organization of goods based on FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or other inventory management techniques.
    • Implement and maintain safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for warehouse staff and compliance with safety regulations.
    • Manage the maintenance coordination and operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

  • Process Optimization & Improvement:
    • Identify areas for improvement in warehousing and inventory processes, including layout optimization, stock management techniques, and technology upgrades.
    • Implement lean warehousing principles to minimize waste, reduce lead times, and improve operational efficiency.
    • Leverage data and analytics to optimize inventory turnover, reduce carrying costs, and improve service levels.
    • Work closely with the BI/IT team to implement or improve Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory tracking tools.

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of inventory specialists, warehouse supervisors, and warehouse workers.
    • Provide ongoing training and development to ensure team members are skilled in inventory management, warehousing best practices, and safety procedures.
    • Set performance goals and KPIs for the warehousing and inventory teams, providing regular feedback and performance reviews.

  • Logistics Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods to customers and between company locations.
    • Ensure smooth and efficient inbound and outbound logistics processes, minimizing delays and shipping errors.
    • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure high levels of service and cost-effective warehousing solutions.

  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure that all warehousing operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
    • Implement and monitor procedures for the handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.

  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Generate regular reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, warehouse efficiency, and team performance for senior management.
    • Track key metrics, such as inventory turnover rates, order accuracy, and warehouse productivity.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for reducing excess inventory, improving space utilization, and enhancing warehousing operations.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS certification in CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Knowledge of Infor XA preferable
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehousing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing lean warehousing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management tools and systems to track and optimize stock levels.
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).

Work Environment:
This is a full-time position that requires a combination of office work and hands-on management in the warehouse. Occasional travel may be required to divisional sites to support.
