About the Role

The Head of Commercial Finance will lead financial strategy related to pricing, market analysis, and performance monitoring while collaborating across departments to align financial decisions with market trends and business goals. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage a finance team and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: This highly visible role will develop and implement commercial finance strategy for each major customer and product set. Will ensure alignment with market demands, and directly contribute to our profitability and competitive edge.
  • Pricing Strategy: Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support pricing decisions, evaluate market trends, and assess the financial impact of business initiatives.
  • Business Planning: Be the key financial point of contact for all commercial business plans. Provide market context and analysis and detailed commentary on the financial impacts of any plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, operations, marketing and procurement teams to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with market demands and customer needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to measure commercial performance. Perform post-bid reviews with actionable insights and ensure there is continuous improvement to our bid processes.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular research and report on market conditions. Provide constant challenge to the commercial team to outperform market growth.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the financial liaison for commercial and marketing teams key stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, and suppliers, ensuring transparency and effective communication regarding pricing and financial performance.
  • Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage data-driven insights for strategic decision-making and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience working in a finance function with a commercial focus. Commercial or Financial experience within the Data Center sector is a huge plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Experience operating various different pricing models from open book pricing to auction bids.
  • Succinct communication skills that provide clear and unambiguous direction throughout the business.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and logical mindset which allows you to anticipate problems and implement systems to prevent issues occurring.
  • Skilled in bringing people together to achieve a common goal.
  • Process driven mindset with a focus on controls and accountability.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering company.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders from a varied set of backgrounds.
