About the Role

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Control Manager is responsible for managing scheduling, planning, shipping and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing and shipping products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications; and ensuring on time and in full deliveries to our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for supervising and ensuring execution of Production Planning, Material scheduling, and Shipping / Receiving activities.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of Production Schedules, Raw Material, Work-in-progress (WIP), Manufacturing Order Variances and Finished Goods for financial tracking purposes and in support of company goals.
  • Exercise a high degree of discretion and judgment to establish priorities and delegate tasks to support personnel.
  • Negotiate, approve, and prioritize production schedules based on demand requirements, new product introduction, equipment capacity and materials supply with Manufacturing Management Team.
  • Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI) including actions with clear deadlines when team is not meeting targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis depending on the KPI.
  • Responsible for coordinating with customer service to maintain accurate requirement dates for customer orders.
  • Expand utilization of warehouse management system to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Drive process changes to existing shipping / receiving practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Drive the development activity of the Production Planning, Material Scheduling, Shipping and Receiving teams to support professional growth and career succession.
  • Use outstanding leadership abilities to select, develop, inspire and evaluate teams and individuals to achieve and maintain world class performance.
  • Conduct regular one on one meetings and performance reviews with direct employees to provide coaching and feedback
  • Identify personnel resource requirements and makes staffing recommendations to senior management
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related business field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years’ of relevant experience in purchasing, production control, and warehousing in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
  • Must understand the financial implication of Materials Management
  • Must be proficient in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
